Prince DEAD At Age 57 – We Lost A Good One

- in Nuwla Music

It saddens me to report that Grammy-winning artist Prince died today.  He was 57 years old.  The reports coming in is that the legend was rushed to hospital from his home studio Paisley Park.   The music icon was born on June 7, 1958.  I was 10 years old when Prince swept the American Music Awards in 1985.  “When Doves Cry” and “1000 Hugs and Kisses” are 2 of my favorite Prince songs.

Prince was one of my favorite all time artist.  This is shocking news.  I love this man.  Love his music… loved the way he carried himself with integrity. Love how he fought the record label he was signed too, to be able to record songs that he was passionate about and be paid properly for it and wanting to own his music.

Prince was feeling under the weather for weeks.  However being the workaholic that he is, the legend, just kept performing.  I read reports that he was rushed to hospital 3 or 4 days prior to his death due to an overdose.  Was treated for 3 hours, and left the hospital against doctors orders because he could not secure a private room.  The next day he was at a party.   He wasn’t 100 percent, I wish that private room was available to him the day he left, he probably would have still been here.

The conspiracy theorist will start posting their theory and yell cover up and this and that.  I don’t care about any of it.  He is not coming back.  I will just keep him alive through his music. Thank you for your music.   My condolences to his family and friends.

SMH.  We just lost another good one.

Rest in Peace Prince.
